Mieshelle Nagelschneider is an American cat behaviorist, author and founder of The Cat Behavior Clinic in Portland, Oregon and the spokesperson for Arm & Hammer cat litter products.

Nagelschneider, who has been dubbed "The Cat Whisperer", began consulting with clients in the Pacific Northwest. During her twenty-year career, she has worked with clients worldwide.

Nagelschneider's clients include celebrities and other public figures in need of consultation for their cats' behavioral problems. Included among them are Charlize Theron and the Barbi Twins.

Nagelschneider has also consulted the owners of some famous cats, including the owner of Homer, a blind rescue featured in the book, Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned about Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat. The author, Gwen Cooper, wrote the forward to Nagelschneider's first book.

Nagelschneider was raised in Redmond, Oregon, and attended several academic institutions, including Harvard University, where she studied animal cognition. She is a former veterinary assistant. Nagelschneider is a member of the Animal Behavior Society, The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the Association of Animal Behavior Professionals.

C.A.T

Nagelschneider devised the "C.A.T." cat behavior modification plan, a program detailed in her recent book The Cat Whisperer. The plan is used to address a multitude of common domestic feline behavior problems.

Nagelschneider is the author of the scientific and scholarly-cited cat behavior book The Cat Whisperer, which is published in multiple languages and coauthored by Cameron Powell. Nagelschneider has her own cat behavior column on the Animal Rescue Siteâ€""Cat Whispering 101" and on Pet360 where she also serves on their Feline Advisory Board.

Nagelschneider is a contributor to several national and international publications.

Nagelschneider is a spokesperson for Arm & Hammer pet products and also served as the International Cat Behavior Expert for Whiskas.

Nagelschneider is a strong proponent of helping cat-advocacy organizations and has recently endorsed the Paw Project, an anti-declawing program based in Los Angeles along with the LA-based Stray Cat Alliance, a rescue organization focused on the recovery and care of stray and feral cats. She is also strongly committed to raising awareness for the plight of black cats, and helping those in need find loving homes despite the persistent stigma associated with them.
